Kedai Makanan Laut Klang @ Pandamaran, Klang

It was still on the Chinese New Year mood and mum was still reluctant to get into the kitchen to prepare dinner for us. We were thinking to have something different from the usually meaty dishes during the past few days. I suggested seafood, and to my surprise both of my parents agreed to it. Needless to say much, we went down to Klang in search of the seafood restaurant.

This was not my first time being here. I recalled my first time being here was 2 years ago during my lunch break. I was being assigned a job in Klang and was then being treated to a seafood lunch by my client whose the office located just few streets away.

By the time we reached, it was already near to 9pm. There were two areas to choose from, an open air or the cold air-conditioned area.
Air-conditioned area

Since I have been here before, I ordered a few of their specialty dishes for my parents to try out. Barely 20 minutes, our first dish was being served on the table.
Oyster Omelet (RM 20)
It's a very different version as opposed to those being served by the hawker stall. The omelet was dry and consisted very little oil, much to the delight of those diet watchers. However, it did not compromise on it's taste as the omelet was still full with flavour and consisted the much sought after "wok hei". Taste so good even on it's own.

Can you spot the Oyster?
Obviously the oyster size was no match to those I had in Penang but the best part of it was the very little presence of tapioca flour.

In-house Specialty Chili Sauce
Best to dip with Oyster Omelet, fried noodles or anything that you like. Add some extra flavour and spiciness to your favourite food.

I ordered a medium plate of fried noodle for Mum since she fancies it a lot.
Fried Tang Hoon (RM 12)
It is hard to find a good fried tang hoon as this. They might be stingy with the ingredients, but the diced dried shrimps did enough to add fragrance to it and blends in well with the tang hoon. Added on with the less oil they used, this gotta be one of the best fried Tang Hoon I had eaten to date. Even my mum agreed so.

Stir Fried Choy Tam (RM 8)
Chewy vegetable, good for the teeth.

Claypot Clam Soup (RM 18)
The soup was a blending of herbal and pepper soup. It has a strong hint of herbs and full with sweetness but slightly spicy, thanks to the presence of lala and the strong taste of pepper. Worth mentioning were the clams or lala where we usually call it were so big, succulent and juicy. However, not a bowl of soup for those who prefer the not so thick version.

There was a saying that the best was kept last. And that was so true, as the crab was the last dish being served to us on that night.
Salted Egg Yolk Meat Crab (RM 36 per kg, add RM 3 for salted egg)
It still tasted as good as the first time I was here. The crab were so well coated with salted egg yolk that gave you so much satisfaction. It was full with flavour and will just "wow" you as you couldn't stop tasting the egg yolk thanks to the generous coating of it. Adding on, the crab was so fresh that the crab meat were still stuck to the shell. This gotta be the my best salted egg yolk meat crab to date.

That left us a very satisfying dinner. The total bill came to RM 101 that consisted a pot of Chinese tea and a bowl of plain rice. The price might not be the cheapest amongst other Klang seafood operator, but it's worth every penny spent for their taste.

Oyster Omelet : 7/10
Fried Tang Hoon : 8/10
Stir Fried Choy Tum : 6/10
Claypot Clam Soup : 7/10
Salted Egg Yolk Meat Crab : 8.5/10

Atmosphere: 6/10

Price: 6/10
Verdict: The Salted Egg Yolk Meat Crab was the bomb! Do not missed out their specialty Fried Tang Hoon too.
